Sublimation

Sublimation: The process by which the substances changes from solid-state to liquid state without passing through the solvent process is called sublimation. It is used to separate sublimely compounds from no-sublimely impurities.

This method is useful for purification and separation of camphor, Iodine, benzoic acid, naphthalene, anthracene, corrosive sublimate, anthraquinone, NH4Cl, Indigo etc.
