The standard toolbar is the second bar from the top in SAP logon and is available in grey color with multiple icons. The standard toolbar does not change when you navigate from one transaction to another transaction in SAP. There are multiple functions that you can execute using the standard toolbar.
The command field is the transaction code box that we will discuss in the next section. The buttons that are available in the standard toolbar are enabled, and the buttons that are not available are disabled. The icons of the standard toolbar and their functions are as below:
The enter button is used to confirm the information entered and is like clicking ok.
The save button allows saving the entered information.
The back button allows us to move to the previous screen or transaction code.
The exit button allows us to exit from the current area or SAP.
The cancel button is used to cancel or stop the current transaction.
The print button is used for normal print commands.
The search button allows us to find an entry on the screen or in a table.
Search Next button allows finding the next instance of the same data given for search.
The first Scroll button helps to scroll to the first page.
The second Scroll button helps to scroll to the previous page.
The third Scroll button helps to scroll to the next page.
The last Scroll button scrolls down to the last page.
The open new session creates a new screen for SAP.
The Shortcut icon creates a desktop shortcut to SAP report, task, or transaction.
The question mark icon provides SAP help on any topic.
