ERP Functional Areas

ERP is a suite of various applications integrated at a single platform that helps an organization to store, collect, manage, and analyze the data. These activities can be performed from many functional areas in an ERP that is as follows:

1. Manufacturing and material management – This functional area covers production and planning activities for production, including raw material management.

2. Financial Accounting – This functional area covers financial transactions and data of the production, sales, or procurement processes.

3. Human Resource – This function area deals with the information linked to the employees of a company.

4. Sales and Distribution – Sales and distribution cover order placement, delivery, shipment, and invoicing of the products sold.

5. Business Intelligence – BI helps to analyze the data and converts it into meaningful information.

6. Logistic and Warehouse management – This functional area covers the products and shipment of information storage.

7. Customer Relationship Management – CRM deals with managing and capturing customer relationships and evaluate the database using customer experience.

8. Supply Chain Management – SCM deals with storing, managing, controlling the supplies, and movement of products.
