JEE Main

JEE stands for Joint Entrance Examination is a examination given by the student who have completed with their 12th standard. This entrance examination is conducted for different engineering colleges in India.

 

NOTE:-

  • Earlier joint entrance examination is conducted by Central board of Secondary education.
  • From Now onward I.e 2019 – National Testing Agency ( NTA) will be conducting this examination.

 

Till 2012, Government conducts the exam under :-

 

    1) AIEEE

    2) IIT – JEE

 

Now , JEE ( Joint Entrance Examination ) is divided into 2 categories:-

 

    1) AIEEE replaced by JEE mains

    2) IIT – JEE replaced by JEE advance

 

  • JEE Mains:

 

    1) JEE mains is the most challenging exam that is held every year for the top most collages in inda.

 

    2) JEE mains is conducted in 2 different modes ,

        a) Offline Paper ( Pen and Paper)

        b) Online Paper

 

    3) Candidates can take only 3 attempts for JEE Mains paper in their lifetime.

 

    4) The candidates who score good in JEE mains are eligible for the most well known colleges which includes NIT's AND Some top notch colleges that comes under central funded technical institutes ( CFTI's).

 

    5) 2013 – 2016 :- In the ranking of JEE mains , 40% Weightage is taken from XII board exams results and rest from the JEE mains score.

 

    6) 2017 - 2018:- Aadhar card is made mandatory for applying in JEE Exam.

 

    7) 2019:- From this year NTA Will conduct this examination 2 times in a year .

 

 

           Eligibility criteria:-

1) Age limit There is no such specific age limit for appearing in JEE examination
2) Educational Qualification

1)Candidate should have pass 10+2 Exams or any Equivalent examination.

 

2) Candidates who are appearing in their 12th can also apply for JEE main.

3) Subjects

5 Subjects in 12th are necessary to appear in JEE mains examination.

A) 5 subjects for B.Tech / B. E:-

1-Language,

2-Physics,

3-Mathematics,

4-Any one of (Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Technical Vocational Subject)

5-Other optional Subjects

B) 5 subjects for B.Arch/ B.Planning are:

1-Language,

2-Physics,

3-Mathematics (compulsory),

4-Any one of (Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Technical Vocational Subject)

5-Other optional Subjects

5) Analytical Reasoning Mental Ability (Visual, Numerical and Verbal).

Part 2

1) Three dimensional

2) Design and drawing of geometrical or abstract shapes and patterns in pencil.

3) Transformation of forms both 2 D and 3 D union, subtraction, rotation, development of surfaces and volumes, Generation of Plan, elevations and 3 D views of objects.

4) Creating two dimensional and three dimensional compositions .

5) Sketching of scenes and activities from memory of urbanscape (public space, market, festivals, street scenes, monuments, recreational spaces, ect.), landscape (river fronts, jungles, trees, plants, etc.) and rural life.

 

  • JEE Advance:-

 

1) The candidate who clears the cutoff for JEE mains can only giver JEE Advance exam.

 

2) Every year more then 12- 13 Lakh students appear for JEE mains Examination and out of it Less then 2.5 Lakh candidates appear in JEE Advance Examination.There is vast difference in the ratio of appearing in both the exams.

 

3) A Candidate Can Appear only for 2 time in JEE Advance Examination in consecutive years.

 

4) JEE Advance is for the most prestigious colleges of India that include IITs and Ism Dhanbad.
